Empowering African businesses

The Charles Chima Foundation Grant funds growth-stage entrepreneurs across Nigeria and Africa, providing capital, structure, and a community of founders committed to paying it forward.

What the Charles Chima Grant
Offers

Non-Repayable Grant Funding

Selected businesses receive between 1,500,000 and 2,000,000 naira. The exact amount is determined during the due diligence stage based on the assessed needs of each business. This is not a loan. There is no interest and no repayment schedule.

Three Cohorts Every Year

We run three grant cycles annually, giving growth-stage entrepreneurs across Nigeria and Africa three separate opportunities every year to apply and be considered.

Seven Focus Sectors

We fund businesses operating across seven industries that we believe will define the next chapter of this continent. From Health and Wellness to Artificial Intelligence and Technology, we back the founders building inside these spaces.

Built for Founders Who Are Already Building

The Charles Chima Foundation Grant is not for idea-stage businesses. It is for entrepreneurs who have already taken the leap, registered their business, found their first customers, and are ready to scale.

If you have a running, revenue-generating business in one of our seven focus sectors, a registered company, a team behind you, and the drive to grow, we want to hear from you.

  • Your business is registered and operational
  • Your business has been generating revenue for at least one year
  • You operate in one of our seven focus sectors
  • You are based in Nigeria or Africa
  • You are between 25 and 42 years of age
